Employer Support for Redundancies

Skills Support for Redundancy (SSR) is an initiative designed to support employers and individuals affected by redundancy. SSR is a tailored service to meet your needs, offering a wide range of training support. A dedicated Partnership Coordinator will work with you to identify the best sources of support and training to help you achieve your career goals and get back to work. SSR is co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

Redundancies are challenging for everyone involved. But as an employer, you can access a range of services free of charge to provide support and useful information through the ‘Rapid Response Service (RRS)’. This is a redundancy service managed by Job Centre Plus designed to give both employers and employees support and advice.

The Skills Support for the Workforce programme (SSW) helps support small & medium businesses in Greater Cambridge and Greater Peterborough to upskill their employees with training courses & qualifications to help their business grow. We can support current employees who need to upskill, employees on furlough that are returning to work, or new recruits that need training, including employees enrolled on the Kickstart scheme. SSW is co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Education and Skills Funding Agency.
