Digital badges are a modern way of storing and showcasing your skills and experiences. As part of your internship, you will be given the opportunity to earn digital badges. Your internship badges will recognise the skills you have gained during your internship placement. Digital badges can be shared on social media platforms and can help demonstrate your skills to future employers.
Your earnt digital badges can be stored on My Skills Pass, a digital skills wallet and C.V. You can continue to build on your digital C.V. with badges earnt through your internship. You can also upload other certificates and records of achievement to help you stand out from the crowd.

You will gain your first badge straight away, as you have already shown an interest in Internships, and you will have opportunities to gain more badges as you complete your internship - you can also store other achievements and certificates!
Learners and job seekers can explore digital badges by creating an account for free via the Combined Authority’s website which enables you to access a Skills Pass.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority - Customer Service Excellence Digital Badge!
This badge is now available and completely free for all employees, volunteers, and learners within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough who meet the following criteria:
✅ Effective Communication: Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, answer questions or concerns, and provide excellent support and service.
✅ Knowledge & Problem-Solving: Proven skills in interpreting products or services to troubleshoot issues and find solutions to customer queries. Clear communication and instructions, or rectifying issues on behalf of customers.
✅ Excellent Customer Experience: Quick response times and maintaining a friendly, positive demeanour that customers expect from our organisation.
✅ Professional Experience: Participation in a professional or employability study programme that includes customer service.

Digital Badges are being used globally and are becoming the easiest way to recognise and certify skills and attributes. Issuing the badge is simple!
Once satisfied that the criteria are met, just ask individuals to scan the QR code to open a short online form and claim their digital badge by inputting the claim code.
